Inspirations
Psalm 33:12, "Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance." In order to be a nation that is blessed by the LORD, we must seek the LORD. When we seek Him whole heartedly, He will be found. Israel was blessed because they worshiped the only true God. In order to truly be blessed we must "have an interest in one greater than ourselves." Joseph Symonds Although we are not a perfect nation and our sins are many, I believe we are a nation that has still been blessed by God. Today, I hope that we will thank God for all of His many blessings in our lives. We enjoy the freedoms that we have because of God, but let's also remember the men and women that have given their lives for this nation. Those that have sacrificed the most generally appreciate the sacrifice the greatest because they know that the costs were great. God is great and He delights in us as His children (those who have a personal relationship with Him). Our delight should be in God and be thankful for His blessings this day and every day as we pray for our nation to honor Him.  |
