Proclaiming the Name Ministries exists for the sole purpose
of proclaiming the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Our commission is to go, teach, baptize, and make disciples
(Matthew 28:19-20). We strive to implement those four elements into the churches which God calls us to serve.
Nathan Davis has been a Christian public servant for 14 years. The Lord
called him into the ministry when he was 17 years old. He has served in various roles, from Youth Minister to Associate
Pastor to Interim Pastor to Senior Pastor, in five different churches. He has also spoken in numerous chapel
services, conferences, camps, and revival services. He is currently the Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church, Coushatta, Louisiana. Nathan received his Master of Divinity degree with Biblical
Languages from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to graduating from SWBTS, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Christian
Ministry from East Texas Baptist University. He is currently in his third year of study in the Doctor of Ministry
Program at Southwestern where his emphasis is in Expository Preaching. In December 2002, he married
his wife, Melanie, also a graduate of East Texas Baptist University. He and his wife Melanie are the proud parents of
their baby boy Reagan.
Melanie Davis has been a supportive pastor's wife since her marriage to Nathan
in December 2002. She has taught high school business and sells Pampered Chef kitchen products. She is very
active in the ministry of the church, from serving as Vacation Bible School Director to playing the piano to helping in whatever
area has need. She also enjoys playing the flute, singing, and scrapbooking. In May 2000, she graduated from East
Texas Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and, in May 2005, received her teacher certification
through LeTourneau University.
