GOD SINGS OVER YOU
“The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He
will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17
This verse should bring to us encouragement. Have you ever
thought about the Lord singing over you? According to God’s Word, He does. In
this sense, He is a personal God, when we understand that we are His. Notice what causes God to sing. Even though He is talking about
the nation of Israel here, in the broadest sense He is talking about His children. What causes God to burst
into song? Well, it is us. If God sings over us, then shouldn’t we sing to him? Of course we should.
Our hearts shall sing to the Lord in adoration and awe of who He is. (3:14) Finally, are you glad and rejoicing with all your heart?
If not, you should be. Think about all the wonderful gifts He has given you. He
has given to you the gift of salvation, spiritual gifts, eternal life, and so much more. Rejoice and sing
to Him! Have enthusiasm for Him so that it will be contagious to others! In fact, be
so enthusiastic and just watch to see who catches it!!!
